It’s over

I’ve just resigned! Well officially it was yesterday, but that is immaterial. I’ve been with this company for the last four years, and it’s definitely time to move on. I’ve got mixed emotions at the moment … its all a bit surreal. I’d contemplated leaving two years ago after a project gone wrong, but decided to stick it out and make the most of some new opportunities. I did this and I’ve learnt a lot in past two years, not only work-wise, but also about myself and what motivates me and what frustrates me. It’s been part of the journey.

I’m glad to be moving on and looking forward to the new challenges that lie ahead, but I it’s just not sinking in at the moment. I’m being pretty philosophical about it all though … it will start to sink in soon enough — I’m finishing up next Friday (5/8).
